I am founder and principal consultant of Software.Process.Management, committed to establishing software processes that create business value.
In more than twenty-five years in the software industry and with leading applied research institutions, I have built a profound understanding how software engineering contributes to sustained business success.
I am deeply familiar with industrial software development practice from various engagements as project lead, solution architect and quality manager.
My ongoing research activities have provided me with a comprehensive knowledge of up-to-date software engineering methods, including requirements management, software product lines, process improvement, agile development, and others.
I am a widely-published author in renowned national and international journals and magazines. I speak regularly at international conferences.
I hold a diploma (Dipl.-Inform.) in computer science and economics, and a PhD in software engineering (Dr.-Ing.) from Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. I am a member of ACM, IEEE CS, ASQF, and GI.
Heinrich Dreier
I am principal consultant with Software Process Management and support organizations in improving their engineering processes.
My experience stems from more than twenty years in engineering and consulting for automotive OEMs and suppliers.
The focus areas are process improvement and process maturity models (e.g., SPICE, ASPICE, CMMI), requirements engineering, quality assurance, risk management and DFMEA, as well as functional safety, especially in the development of automotive real-time systems.
I hold a diploma in electrical communication engineering (Dipl. Ing.) from Paderborn University, Germany. I am member of DGQ and GI. In the German Computer Society, GI, I am an active member of the working group „requirements frameworks “.
Gerald Heller
I am principal consultant of Software.Process.Management and partner at pd7.group. I help organizations to improve their software business.
My expertise draws on more than 30 years experience of globally distributed, large scale software development. My professional activities and responsibilities have covered almost all aspects of the software lifecycle.
Today, I work as trainer and consultant focusing on the areas of software product management and requirements management.
Using a holistic approach, I combine processes and practices with optimal tool support. Some prominent tool examples are Jira and Jama Connect from Jama Software.
Regularly, I speak at international conferences and publish in journals.
I hold a diploma in computer science (Dipl.-Inf. Univ.) from Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen, Germany. I am a member of GI and a board member of the International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA®).
